This is a replacement kernal, which is very close to the original kernal. By shrinking the poweron message, switching the default device from 1 to 8 and doing some screen magic I managed to implement a routine for function key handling (for F1-F7). Note, that F5 creates an additional ":" in the current line at pos 24 to give you the opportunity of pressing F5 "over" a listed directory without receiving an error.
To test it in RAM, just load "KERN+BAS" as well as the kernal file and start it with SYS4096.
