At first glance, I thought it was some kind of simple circuit, but the more I looked at it, I could see there was some kind of IC chip on the bottom, and a lead going from the "daughterboard" into the "motherboard". It appears the breadboard is epoxied to a piece of plastic, which is then epoxied onto another chip on the main board.
