Hey, I'm Slartibartfast, formerly of Aussie demo crews Futurevision Designs, Battery and Lithium (old school) and Onslaught, Chrome and Hokuto Force (contemporary), recently having joined PROS to code intros for the cracks my man Fungus does. I've been coding for the c64 almost since I first got one in the 90's, took a break from the "death" of the scene in the mid-90's until returning in the early 2000's to join Onslaught and Chrome in around 2005. I released several short demos in that time, started work on a game, and burnt out around 2007 and left the scene again. That brings us to today, where I decided if I was going to make a game now, I'd have to polish up my skills. This started as an idea to rejoin Hokuto Force, but then the CSDB intro competition came along and I met Fungus again for the first time in years, and we formed a cracking crew, PROS. I figured I could disassemble my old demo parts, which were little more than linked intros, and quickly teach myself to demo again. And with the help of VICE monitor and Regenerator Disassembler, it worked!:D So follow on and read all about the process in creating my first intro in a decade, along with source code snippets and eventually the source to the entire intro. http://c64.inspired-digital.net http://redux2017.inspired-digital.net

I am just starting a quick blog to show my express interest in Commodore computers. I, like most others on here, have grown to a strong affinity towards the Commodore 64 and it's plethora of add-ons, accessories, software, and strong follower community. In my opinion, there is no better space decorated than one that shows the mystique of Commodore computers. In my current webpage blog I am tackling repairs to an MSD SD-2 disk drive. Since 1987 i`m a german scener and i collect a lot of stuff. Today, more than 5.000 disks from different sources like from Tgr/Snap, Shri Sadhu, MAV, Dan Dee, H-Bl0xx, Sonic, AEG, Track18, Code18, Someone, Creb, Crossbow, Nasty Boy and other sceners or non sceners are mine. I build THE STOCK and so we collect more than 20.000 disks which are mostly not transfered to D64 or another virtual format. I stopped swapping but i still collect, sell and produce stuff for the commodore64. My newest idea is to save stuff from dying sources and bring these stuff back with two mirrors. So that it will be spread around for all other interested in.

Today I'm a filmmaker and social media expert, but my memories haunt me, and I long to bring the fun and adventure of the C64 back to my living room. I made a small Commodore 8bit computer forum, I know they are a dime a dozen but what is one more. I just love the Commodore 64 and I wanted a site that I ran to show my love for it. Beside I'm doing things a little differently than all the other sites. Also I'm not always on-line at C64press there are a few other sites on mega-anime.net that I manage from time to time, so I have to divide all of my free time between them, C64press and what ever I have going on off-line. So expect very little activity for the time being, I will how ever be more active on the site later on. I just need to see real interest in the site. And kudos to CommodoreServer for building the best Commodore site in existence, keep up the great work, we're all super grateful.

only the real c64 computer will be mentioned here emulators can't run some of the hidden codes that programmers have stored in memory ,for instance where is the accumulator vector address see no one thinks of these really important register aspect i have to intern on some good code so i can get back in step all code compiles with turbo Assembler 9000

Im needing to find someone that has a *LOT* of experience with: Machine Language and GEOS/Wheels programming. Im new to both ML and the above and need some help, just reading the Geos programmers reference manual does not help a beginner, because they already assume your well versed in GEOS routines, and they barely ever do supply what opp codes to use etc. I do have most of the Geoprogrammist articles which are helpful, but that was at a time before Wheels and Concept were even written, but the articles do help in some area's. And I found what Commodore World issues I didnt have on bombjack.org. The Geoprogrammer manual is a good book and partly helpful, but as usual its all about having the know how which I know I dont have, and I know now I bit off more than I can chew, both with ML and GEOS coding. wow its a deep language! I would like to make my application available because its both useful and entertaining, and something that is awesome that has never been tried in either GEOS or Wheels. If I cant find any help then this application may never be finished. My last helper it seems has lost interest and that is too bad, but he has coded a lot of GEOS and Wheels apps, but that individual helped this application to a few good Beta versions. At least proving what I want to do will work in Wheels at least because it handles its memory better than GEOS does. It all started with deciding to try an Amiga again. Now I'm getting back into the C=64 and Vic-20. Multitasking is great, but there's a charm in using a machine that focuses on one task and does it right. Let's see, I have an Amiga 2000, Commodore 64, and Vic-20. Now I have to figure out what to do with them. This Ethernet modem thingy seems to be a good place to start.

the monitor that shipped with my commodore 64 i got off of ebay is total junk and i have to use a very small tv set as a monitor in fact i have to squint in order to see any thing i could use one of my big plasma tvs but there so big i would have to put my 64 on the floor not also that im starting to see horizontal lines on the screen but there not the visible is that some thing i have to worry about or is that easly fixable

Wired up an RS232 adapter (Wulfden P3 and userport connector) with instructions from http://biosrhythm.com/?p=1136 I'm glad to have found this site, and hope it becomes what it can be!
