PDXCUG.org Programming Challenge
If you like experimenting with programming, why not join the Portland Commodore Users Group in the monthly programming challenge?
Whether you are starting out programming, fully experienced or anywhere in between, the Portland Commodore Users Group has just the thing for you! Each month, the club has a programming challenge where we name a theme and members (or guests) spend the next month making some sort of program relating to the theme. Programs can be written in any language (BASIC, Assembly, Fortran, C, Pascal, LOGO, or anything you prefer). The rules are simple: write a program relating to the theme and turn them in before the next month's club meeting (with your name in the program credits) and allow your submission to be posted on CommodoreServer.
Past themes have included:
- Snow (Dec. 2017)
- Football (Jan. 2018)
- Fire (Feb. 2018)
- Olympics (Mar. 2018)
- Spring (April 2018)
You can find submissions posted on CommodoreServer in the Public Disks (under clubs/pdxcug.org/programming challenge - See folders to click on in the side nav)
If you would like to join in, just submit your compiled code in D64 or PRG format and wait for the demo to commence on the next club night.
Have fun programming!
